My mom is my rock and someone I can always rely on to be there for me. My mom helps me plan and navigate most of the moving parts to my days. She helps me plan and work towards goals that I want to achieve and reminds me of tasks that need to be done. She helps me with household planning, staying organized with my appointments, medication refills, and other healthcare related tasks and actions, and makes sure I am looking after myself.
My mom calls me sweetie, and hunny and sunshine and reminds me that "Rome was not built in a day". Her unconditional and unwavering support in helping me with my day to day tasks I used to be able to do on my own, takes up a lot of her time, and she does it gladly, with a loving smile and with no complaints. I always feel loved, appreciated and understood, and she helps me push myself when I lack the confidence to do so myself.
She talks me through my anxious moments, and encourages me when I'm feeling down about myself. My mom never hesitates to remind me of what I am still capable of, and helps me find healthy and productive ways to adapt to the cognitive changes in my brain and physical changes in my body.
Most of all, my mom believes in me and because of her, I'm beginning to believe in myself again.
Happy birthday mom - you are a superstar! I admire you and I'm so glad you are my mom.
Thank you for all that you do.
